Avon Small Animal Rescue is a self funded, home based rescue situated in Hanham, Bristol. The rescue is for all small animals needing that new start in life.
We care for many animals, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, rats and all other small animals - NO ANIMAL WILL EVER BE TURNED AWAY (sorry but no cats or dogs).
There are many different reasons why an animal finds itself in a rescue through no fault of their own, reasons incude marital break ups, novelty wearing off, incorrect sexing of pets leading to unwanted babies, moving into rented accomodation or no longer being able to afford the costs. Whatever the reason, Avon Small Animal Rescue will not judge you, we are only concernced about the welfare of the animal so all we ask is that you are honest regarding your pets personality and health so a suitable new home can be found.
Sometimes though, suitable homes are unable to be found for certain pets, if this happens then the pet will always have a permanent home with us.
ABOUT THE RESCUE
I have a great love and passion for these small animals. As I run a boarding service for small pets, I come across many animals needing new homes and came up with the idea to start the rescue centre.
I have many years of animal experience and I will always do the best for the animals that come into our care.
I am very careful in selecting new homes for the pets that come into my care and I will ask many questions, an adoption form will be completed and in some cases a home check will be done.
